Dr. Kristen Fritz was born in New Jersey but spent the majority of her childhood living in Northern Virginia. Her family was relocated to Paris, France, where she spent three years of her high school career and graduated from the American School of Paris. She moved back to the States to attend the University of Virginia in Charlottesville, and graduated with High Honors with a Bachelors of Arts in Economics.

She continued her education at Virginia Commonwealth University School of Dentistry in Richmond, Virginia where she graduated at the top of her class. Throughout her education Dr. Fritz received many academic honors including membership in Phi Beta Kappa Honor Soceity, Omicron Kappa Upsilon Dental Honor Society and became a Hinman Scholar.

After dental school, Dr. Fritz received her specialty training in Orthodontics at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill School of Dentistry where she graduated with her Master’s of Science in Dentistry. While attending UNC, she received two National Research Awards from the American Academy of Dental Sleep Medicine for her research in sleep disorders affecting pediatric orthodontic patients. Dr. Fritz obtained the highest level of recognition that an orthodontist can receive by achieving Board Certification from the American Board of Orthodontics.

Dr. Fritz is a lifelong student who enjoys regularly attending continuing education lectures to stay informed about the latest advances in Orthodontics. She is a member of many professional associations including the American Association of Orthodontics, Southern Association of Orthodontics, American Dental Association, North Carolina Dental Society and Wake County Dental Society.

In her leisure time Dr. Fritz enjoys playing golf, working out, traveling, coaching youth sports, and spending time with her husband, Gabe, and her two boys!

Dr. Fritz’s favorite part of her job is getting to know her patients and their families and forming lasting relationships.
